Maintenance Technician – Electrician

Huntington University is seeking a person to serve in the role of Maintenance Technician – Electrician.  This position is responsible to assist the Director of Physical Plant in maintaining the function and appearance of the physical facilities and performing electrical duties. Candidates must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others.  This role requires a self-starter, with strong organization and communication skills, the ability to work well with various departments and on multiple projects simultaneously, strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills, and excellent time management skills.  Candidates must be able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work from heights.  The ideal candidate will also possess a current valid electrical license.
Key areas of responsibility include making repairs and improvements to physical facilities and grounds, performing routine electrical maintenance of all campus equipment, maintaining campus electrical systems including troubleshooting for potential breakdowns or safety hazards, maintaining inventory of electrical parts and supplies, identifying potential physical plant needs, problems or areas for improvement, and providing direction to student maintenance staff.
This is a full-time position with employee benefits.  Candidate must also be available for on call duty periodically.
