Gregg Named President of Indiana TRiO Association
Roxanne Gregg to serve as incoming president for Indiana TRiO Association
A. Roxanne Gregg, director of the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Upward Bound program, has been named the incoming president for the Indiana TRiO Association. She will serve as president for one year.
“Roxanne has developed IPFW’s Upward Bound Program in to one of the top TRiO programs in the state,” said Ken Christmon, IPFW associate vice chancellor for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs. “Indiana TriO is fortunate to have her as its president! The group will continue to make strides advancing the critical dialogue of supporting and developing students who hail from families that are low income and first generation college attendees.”
Indiana TRiO is comprised of educators from throughout the State of Indiana who work for, or with, the United States Department of Education’s TRiO programs, more commonly known as Upward Bound, Student Support Services, Ronald McNair Program, the Educational Opportunities Program, and Talent Search. The group works to advocate on behalf of first generation, low income, and students with disabilities who participate in Indiana TRiO programs. The purpose of the Indiana Chapter is to bring together into a work and study community those administrators, counselors, advisors, and teachers who have an active interest in or who are professionally involved in broadening accessibility to and assuring success in formal post-secondary education.
Gregg is a native of Fort Wayne and a graduate of IPFW and Indiana Tech.
