<p><strong>Director of the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center (NEISBDC)</strong><br />
The Division of Continuing Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) is accepting applications for the director of the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center. <span id="more-723"></span> The focus of this position is to plan, direct, assess and report the NEISBDC activities promoting economic growth through entrepreneurship and small business development in the region.   Responsibilities include managing the center staff, budgets, procedures and policies; ensuring compliance with state, federal and university regulations and guidelines; and developing ways to connect the center to the region’s higher education institutions as program and service partners.</p>
<p>A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is required with a minimum of 3 years experience in promoting small business development and providing services for new business formation.  Preference will be given to those who have a Master’s Degree in Business or related field and/or have successfully run or operated a small business.</p>
<p>Candidates must have strong leadership and public/interpersonal communication skills; be computer literate; able to manage a budget, hire and supervise staff; be self-motivated and able to travel a nine-county region within the state of Indiana.  A criminal conviction record check is required for employment in this position.</p>

<p><strong>Maintenance Technician &#8211; Electrician</strong></p>
<p>Huntington University is seeking a person to serve in the role of Maintenance Technician &#8211; Electrician.  This position is responsible to assist the Director of Physical Plant in maintaining the function and appearance of the physical facilities and performing electrical duties. <span id="more-719"></span>Candidates must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others.  This role requires a self-starter, with strong organization and communication skills, the ability to work well with various departments and on multiple projects simultaneously, strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills, and excellent time management skills.  Candidates must be able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders and work from heights.  The ideal candidate will also possess a current valid electrical license.<br />
Key areas of responsibility include making repairs and improvements to physical facilities and grounds, performing routine electrical maintenance of all campus equipment, maintaining campus electrical systems including troubleshooting for potential breakdowns or safety hazards, maintaining inventory of electrical parts and supplies, identifying potential physical plant needs, problems or areas for improvement, and providing direction to student maintenance staff.<br />
This is a full-time position with employee benefits.  Candidate must also be available for on call duty periodically.</p>

<p><strong>Secretary to Student Development Services</strong><br />
Huntington University is seeking a person to serve in the role of Secretary to Student Development Services. This position provides administrative assistance to the Associate Dean of Students/Director of Career Development and Counseling Services, the Director of First Year Students and Volunteer Services, and the Director of the Horizon Leadership Program. The position is under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Students/Director of Career Development and Counseling Services.<span id="more-713"></span>Candidates must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, a desire to serve others and a commitment to being a faithful steward of university resources. Strong communication, interpersonal and team work skills along with excellent organizational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects and tasks concurrently arerequired.  Good secretarial skills are necessary and a friendly, courteous, helpful demeanor is essential.  Computer skills including proficiency with email and Microsoft Office programs are necessary.<br />
Areas of responsibility within the career development area include maintaining and communicating job opportunities, scheduling and notification of recruiter visits, planning and coordinating the Etiquette Dinner and assisting with the graduate survey.  Responsibilities related to New Student Programs include updating and preparing orientation packet materials for freshmen and new student orientation, coordination of the HU Opportunities session for orientation, working with student mentors and assisting with volunteer services tasks as necessary.  General office duties may include supervising a student worker, maintaining office supplies, and maintaining calendars for each director.<br />
